Hello, my name is Krystal and I am the TRIO specialist for Curry County. TRIO is a FREE program to assist with college/career exploration, with a heavy emphasis on the career-exploration piece and academic achievement throughout middle school. The program is available to those who are potential first-generation college students (neither parent/guardian has a 4-year college degree) and low income. We are also able to accept a limited number of students who meet just one of the eligibility criteria every year. I visited with the 5th and 6th graders today and handed out applications to students who requested one.
