Chess Club

Advisor: Amanda Carlton

Chess Club is designed to give students an opportunity to learn the game of chess, improve their chess skills, and to enjoy challenging their peers, while experiencing healthy competition and team spirit. Chess is used to develop critical thinking, problem solving, and decision-making. While the students will have the chance to track their progress and to compete in chess tournaments around the state, our main focus will be to encourage learning, sportsmanship, and fun. Chess club meets every Monday in Ms. Carlton's room at lunch.

Drama Club

Advisors: Amanda Carlton, Jessica Dupree

Drama Club is designed for students interested in learning more about the aspects of theater. This includes learning stage terminology, working on acting skills, set building, and costumes/makeup design. Drama Club is open to all students. This is Pacific High School's first year of Drama Club and we will add more information to this description as we evolve.
