Why are we important to the Stream Team?

We are important to the Team because we help survey the stream and assist the mapping team by telling them the depth, length, width, and substrate (or the stuff on the bottom of the stream).  We also recorded in-stream habitat types, like riffles, pools, and glides.

About us

We are the 8th grade class of 2006and we are currently studyingthe Brush Creek watershed, we have been studying Brush Creek in order to prepare for thecurry county watershed symposium. We started our project in October and have made many trips to Brush Creek in order to get information about the creek and how it changes over time. We enjoyed this very much and learned a lot about the environmentand how it effects the area around us.
