Macro Team

This is the 8th grade macro team page. This web page is to inform all interested people about macroinvertebrate. Like what they are and do and also where there are found. We collect the specimen and identify them in order to show that the stream is healthy. Macroinvertebrate help identify if the stream is healthy by there type. There are sensitive macro's somewhat sensitive macro's ,and tolerant macro's. The healthiest for your stream is sensitive and somewhat sensitive. On the contrary if you have a couple tolerant macro's it does not mean your stream is unhealthy. We did our study on brush creek about once each month from October through march. We found various amounts of all different kinds of Macroinvertebrate. Some of the kinds of macro's are Stonefly, Mayfly, and Cadisfly there are many more but that would be a long list. Anyhow this is the beginning of our site so stay in tune for our other sections.
